ID / OD & SURFACE GRINDERS

SHOP GROWTH! – ID / OD & SURFACE GRINDERS NEEDED!

Wolverine Carbide and Tool is currently seeking skilled grinders responsible for setting up and operating ID and/or OD Grinding machines (internal diameter or external diameter) to grind steel and carbide dies, tools, and machine parts.

Experience operating Parker Majestic, Okamoto, and Unison grinders is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints, visualize grinding process, and understand the sequence of machining operations required
  • Understand the characteristics of abrasives in order to select and dress the appropriate grinding wheel
  • Select optimal feed rates, grinding speeds, depths of cuts, etc.
  • Inspect and verify dimensions of work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as templates, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks
  • Hold tolerances of plus or minus 0.0001"

Requirements:

  • Previous experience setting up and operating ID and/or OD Grinding machines (internal diameter or external diameter) to grind steel and carbide dies, tools, and machine parts
  • Favorable background check, drug test and physical
